Hi All, This subject has been lightly touched on in numerous threads but I wanted to try to create a "definitive" guide for the forums. The Prius is obviously not a car that many aftermarket wheel manufacturers specifically build wheels for so people (like me) looking to put custom wheels (especially 18" or 19") on their car, are kind of stuck trying to find wheels that will fit. There are plenty of wheels out there that should work but finding them can be a bit more difficult than for a typical tuner car. First off, for everyone who doesn't understand offsets, go here to see a picture and play with the offset calculator. Basically offset defines how far away the mounting interface of the wheel is from the centerline of the rim. So wheel diameter DOES NOT matter. The only thing that matters is the width of the rim itself. i.e. a 17x7 and a 18x7 wheel with the same offset will "stick out" the same distance for a given offset. Anyway, now that that's out of the way, if you own a set of wheels that is not covered below, please add your specs with comments (e.g. fits perfect, needs spacers, needed to roll fenders, etc). Attaching pics would be helpful as well since a "perfect fit" is a bit subjective. Here are some that I do know of (sorted by wheel width): wheel / size / offset / weight / fit comments: oem // 15" x 6 // 45mm // ??lbs // oem // 17 x 7 // 50mm // 26 lbs // 5Axis S6:F // 17 x 7.5 // 45mm // 18lbs // looks good in pics 5Axis S6:F // 18 x 7.5 // 45mm // 22lbs // looks good in pics Feel free to quote and add from your own experiences.
