OK, it will be easy to spot the '06 models because of the refreshed tail lights & chrome grille, but is there any way to visually distinguish between an '04 and an '05? Subtle difference in some trim component? Badging? A distinctive mole? I know this isn't an earth-shaking issue, but it has been bugging me for a while. I check out other Prii in parking lots and can't for the life of me figure out how to tell which model year I'm looking at (short of scrutinizing the VIN to see what the 10th digit is). Any suggestions, or are these things really as identical-looking as those mid-60's VW Beetles? :huh:
Thanks, Tempus! I don't know how I missed that, especially since it was only two days ago. I will henceforth be on the lookout for headliner buttons and missing rear wipers.
