If Ancient Rome had the Internet LOL! Someone sure had too much time on their hands. I'm all for this one: "The volume of spam collapses when the penalty for not providing a working opt-out mechanism becomes equal billing with the lions at the eBay Colosseum." I've always felt that if the ancient Assyrians had had computers they would have invented the Database. They were doing it already with cuniform tablets, but they would have peed their pants to have a real database to do sorts and queries.
