I am looking at the Prius manual and I keep on seeing the abbreviation "IG-ON" I know I must have over looked what this means, so I would appreciate it if someone can explain this to me. Thank you.
Just like any other car you've driven really. There's ACC (accessory) mode with gives electrical power to only a limited number of things...radio, windows, etc...but no fans, etc. IG-ON gives you electrical power to almost everything but doesn't actually power up into READY mode.
Stands for IGnition-ON. It is equivalent to what you would have in a conventional car if you put it to ON, but not start it.
