Hi all. I'm Joe. We just leased a 2014 PIP (base, classic silver) from Hansel Toyota in Petaluma, CA. I stumbled across this forum in my online research while car shopping and have already found tons of useful info. This is our first Prius and the first new car I have driven. I did own one other Toyota long ago - a '77 FJ40 Land Cruiser. More recently I've been through several older Volvo wagons, relying on the user community to help me get the most out of them. I'm so happy to find that a knowledgeable and helpful community exists for the Prius as well. Hi Joe congrats on the new PiP ...good choice for your first new car. Suffice it to say hybrids were but a gleem in DOE's eye when we bought our first car, although it's amazing how close the early hybrid R&D prototypes in the 1970's on YouTube look like a PiP.
