Read an article in the February, 2005 Scientific American entitled "Seeking Better Web Searches." Two new types of serach engines mentioned are Clusty and Mooter. These two engines return search hits by clustering the results. For example, I did a search "hybrid vehicle" with both of them and the both returned clusters named 'Honda' and 'Toyota' along with 'fuel', 'energy', and 'capacitor.'
