Info screen not working on 2005 Prius

    The info screen on my 2005 Prius shows up black. When I push one of the buttons, it gradually goes to its normal brightness, stays that way for about 10 seconds, then goes black again. The buttons all work while its lighted Any ideas or fixes?

    not sure if it's the defective display issue. google mfd extended warranty and see what comes up.

    It sounds like the display off mode is selected, have you tried turning the car off and back on?

    Yup, that's it.:( You'd think that, after 10 years, I'd know my way around this car a little better.
