Installing mirror mounted dash cam but it’s weight is causing mirror position to drop, fix??

I’m installing a mirror mounted dash cam unit that installs over the rear view mirror. It’s a Rexing M2 unit. The weight of it issuing the angle of the rear view mirror to lower so that I can no longer view the mirror . I tried adjusting the top portion the assembly where it meets to windshield but that doesn’t work. Is there a way to tighten the ball and socket mount at the back of the rear view mirror ?
