Interesting article on noise makers

I think they should use the Jetson's car sound.

 

I just posted this on BBC.
"Were it up to me, I'd have my Prius sound like a Rolls-Royce Merlin. My neighbor had a WW II surplus Mustang when I was a child and that was the most amazing sound EVER!"

 

I want my Prius to sound like the Enterprise heading to warp speed.

 

oh yes, a deep sounding buzz or high pitched hum are much more pleasing en masse than a quiet petrol motor.

 

If it does become a requirement.......make it like a cell phone........I can select what sound it emits...after all it is my car.

 

If they have to make a sound, I want it to be like when I was a kid and we put a playing card in the spokes of our bicycles. The noise maker is one of the few bad things about the Leaf. You can turn it off, but you have to do it every time. Tesla is much better. No artificial noises.

 

I like that sound my Prius makes right now, thank you.
