yeah, that is an ongoing issue

 

It’s an oil catch can.

 

I wonder how many people get their oil in between the high and low on the dipstick in an oil change? Overfilled related?

 

Bad pcv design combined with piston ring blowby. Overfill will aggravate but is not necessary. Catch can will capture some but not all.

 

That would've been more interesting if it included relevant information about the car's history, including engine oil choices, change intervals, and consumption, owner's driving habits, etc.

When I had my manifold off, it had nowhere near that much liquid down there, but then mine's not prolifically guzzling oil as some do.
