I have experienced a few times when first starting up and putting in reverse, the brake was so sentitive that it looks like I don't know how to drive a car just like in the movie, and it's not funny. A little pressure will completely stop the car. Usually it will be back to normal by itself or when I switch to forward. Have you seen that? Do you know why? Or it's a bug that Toyota needs to fix. Thanks.
Oh yes. Here is a wonderful thread on the issue: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/65875-braking-in-reverse.html No known resolution to it however. Peter
Mine is still randomly doing it too, but I have sort of figured a way around it. When it becomes hyper-sensitive, I do my best to feather the brake with the absolute lightest touch. If I do, then I can still back up in a somewhat controlled manner. But I'm telling you, I'm only putting what seems like a tenth of a pound of pressure on the brake pedal... Bryan
