I took a look under the hood this evening (car was cold and had been sitting for hours). Below is what the coolant level looks like. It appears to be right at the low level. Should I add more or is it fine as-is? This is my first Prius but I gather it's called the inverter coolant, as I saw the label. If/when I need to add more, what should I use and where do I get it? I'm guessing there's a Toyota OEM inverter coolant.
If you're due for a service visit anytime soon, or not so soon, mention it to the service advisor. They're supposed to check all fluids and top off when necessary. As is, there's nothing to worry about. Keep an eye on the level though. If the level drops lower, you may have a leak somewhere.
Toyota is liable to say anywhere between low and high is ok and a low level when cool "may" rise a little when hot outside. Here are two links: Toyota Prius >> Checking the coolant level - Engine and Chassis - DO−IT−YOURSELF MAINTENANCE Inverter coolant level | PriusChat
