Looking for instructions and torque specs on inverter water pump replacement. If anyone could post it hear I would greatly appreciate it. Recently purchased a 2017 Prius 3 Touring with 130,000 miles and am in the process of doing baseline preventative maintenance. Plan is Plugs, trans fluid, coolant, engine water pump, inverter water pump, thermostats, updated cat or bypass, brake fluid flush. 12v battery. Cabin filter, engine intake filter, traction fan/filter, Traction battery tested good. (Dr Prius) - Open to other suggestions.
I've looked through about 3K pages of my 4th gen Repair Manual pdf (bootleg, with broken links, poorly bookmarked), so far in vain. Maybe take out a short term Techstream subscription. After spending 30~40 grand, it'd be cool if one of the manufacturers would loosen the purse strings on shop manual info...
Thank you Mendel for investing the time to look. I was focused on looking inside the inner fender (Gen 2 location) and all around the inverter…. Once I looked in the daylight I noticed the pump is placed right behind the radiator almost center to the car. It’s easily accessible by dropping the splash shield. Photo attached for the next Gen 2 guy on the learning curve getting familiar with the Gen 4.
