Hello! I had a 2012 Prius Three for the last 13 years until it was totaled last week. I found the same year, model and trim with even fewer miles and bought it over the weekend with our settlement. But now, I cannot get my, or my husband's iphones to connect. As the phones got newer, we had to do a lot of turning off, turning on, having the music playing before we plugged it in, etc., but now the audio screen isn't even recognizing that a USB is plugged in.

Obviously this isn't the end of the world, but if there's a solution, I'm all ears. We both can connect via bluetooth, but it was always more convenient to plug in, both to charge and listen to music, especially if we're both in the car, I used to be the primary bluetooth, and he would just plug in his phone for podcasts.

Is there something I'm missing about setting up a new phone via USB cord? We have to go to Toyota to get a second fob anyway, could they patch in an update to the software to make it as current as that year gets? TIA!
