    So I just found my iPod Classic 5th gen after cleaning out some stuff.
    It still works! it still holds charge which is surprising because of deep discharge

    Well it doesn't have bluetooth connection so I can only connect it with apple's 30 pin to usb. But nothing it didn't work.

    It looks like this device is pretty useless? Has anyone ever tried this?

    Yeah I have an iPod Nano connected now to the car with a 30 pin Apple cord. Works perfect. Might require a new cable. Just found it as <my name> iPod from the Audio.

    Same here iPod Nano with 30pin-USB connector works on 2017 PRIME fine. It gives a bit more functionality on the touch screen than plain USB thumb drive, but not much.
