I have noticed on my "c" that the drivers door on the inside seems to be very easy to mark up. Its like that carbon fiber or plastic material is not resistant to anything. Its only a month old and I have 3000 miles already so you can see I spend a lot of time in it. I have not banged anything into it. Can't decide if its the seatbeat when I unbuckle it or something else. I do have a prosthetic leg but my pants cover it so I am unsure. I don't think it rubs the door. Just curious. Thinking about asking the dealer what gives.
The GenIII plastics mark up easily. If you brush something against a panel it leaves a white mark. A clean microfiber towel removes the mark quite easily and requires no cleaning solution. Try using a towel to clean the mark.
+1 and thanks - to okiprius and F8L. OP for bringing topic up and F8L for giving us the tip. Yes - I've been noticing the white marks on the plastic - I couldn't figure out what was making the white rub marks.
This is my damage. Some of the scratches are into the plastic. Where the marks were I tried cleaning them off but they are still there. Really soft material. I am thinking when I unbuckle my seatbeat to get out its springs over toward the door after marking the plastic. The plastic makes no noise when something brushes against it. I mean I like my car, I do, but I am disappointed in this flaw. Car looks great clean, and I like my vechicles clean. I hope the photo I attached can be displayed. I uploaded my car to but I couldn't get it to rotate 90 degress. Oh well its down hill lets say.
Man I thought I was the only one! Phew glad to hear Im not But they wipe away with a semi damp cloth not a big issue.
