I recently had my windshield replaced, and I am concerned that the camera is aligned and functioning properly. Is there any way to check that the camera is functioning properly and accurately? I recently had the windshield replaced, and had to get it done quickly. The shop was a little hole in the wall, and I’m wondering if they even did the alignment. The rain sensor came loose after the job, but it never worked well anyway so I unplugged it. Now I have basic intermittent wipers! 2016 Prius 4
replacing the sticky medium for the rain sensor costs pennies and takes seconds to install. if they didn't even bother to do THAT, i'd almost guarantee they didn't do the camera calibration either.
Does your receipt give a brand for the replacement windshield? I have read about problems that sometimes occur when non-OE glass is used with newer camera systems. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I’m not aware of a way to verify this, other than to do the learning procedure described in my previous posting. This is supposed to be done whenever the windshield is replaced.
