I just got a 2012 prius v two today. Im still getting used to this. It has a touchscreen radio and the salesman said it had xm but when I get home to mess around with it I cant find any xm radio? I do see a black antenna on the top of the car over the trunk area? Is this the xm antenna? Also I saw in the manual that the radio should say xm and hd radio on the bottom but this one doesnt. How many different radios did toyota put into the 2012 prius v? How much would it cost to get the radio that is in the Prius v 5?
I suspect the salesman was uninformed. You need a model 3 for factory xm. I am not sure what the dealer options are; there may be a way to add or substitute but you may need an aftermarket unit. See Toyota Prius Hybrid - 2013 Models: Prius v Two, Prius v Three, Prius v Five then click "Interior"
