Does Toyota (not local dealerships) advertise the Prime at all? I watch virtually no live TV anymore (so I'm a bad judge of what's being advertised or not) but was over at someone else's place the other night and on their TV, saw a standard ad for Toyota, quickly going through some of the current models you can find on sale (Corolla, Camry, etc). That got me thinking... I never really remember seeing the Prius advertised much through the years (just on billboards and occasionally in print ads perhaps - not on TV) -- but to date, have seen NO ads AT ALL for the Prime -- no billboards, no print ads, and no TV ads (though again, I watch virtually no live TV anymore). Here in SoCal, I've actually seen a couple billboards for the Mirai -- but NOT for the Prime! I know it's a hot seller, but the Camry and Corolla are hot sellers too, and they get mentioned in Toyota Corp ads. So was wondering... has anyone out there seen the Prime being advertised by Toyota? (not local dealership ads just showing their prices). Is it just me, or is there no ad budget for the Prime?
surprising lyly, i saw quite a few prime commercials (part of overall toyota ad) promoting the $2,500. cash back. haven't seen one yet since they bumped it to $3,250.
2 years later... a new "Prime" advertisement has emerged. "Elektrisk Rekkevidde: 65 km" translates to "Electric Range: 40 miles"
