I was attracted to the prius first upon looks. I never saw one until moving to Cali. I kept seeing this really cool look car that everyone seemed to have and the cute back cruising around and wanted one.
Then I learned about how it works and all the awesome things going on inside the car, and I was hooked.

I think the Prius is sexy. Just not in the loud way everyone is used too with other cars. It's on the outside (subtle) and on the inside.

Wow, this is an old thread. IMO, my Prius is practical, frugal, reliable, useful, and a lot of other things, but not sexy. My Ridgeline is also practical and not sexy. However, my S2000 is another story.

    Sexy? Nuts!

    wait, no nuts.

edit: I just voted and apparently most of PC members prefers to make love to the prius rather than
    angelina jolie.

No but it is the 2nd best-looking hatchback. (I think most hatchback cars look poor, but the Prius looks good.)

This is a "sexy" hybrid interior -

This is, um ...... chirp , chirp ...

    :D

Looks sophisticated like any luxury car and drives like an Accord

I can respect Prius for its fuel efficiency and reliability, but at 6'2" and even with expensive leather seat covers, the driving experience is hardly what I'd call 'sexy' or engaging or rewarding or luxurious or anything else like that. I'm driving my 26 year old pickup truck half time to help keep miles down on Prius and waiting for right time to switch, that's how 'sexy' Prius is to drive.

People buy the Prius because ... for a hybrid it is

    1) cheap as in sold at multi thousand dollar discounts

    2) reliable and versatile

    3) great on gas and 'good enough' at everything else

I'd say it's a bit more on side of nerdy and geeky than sexy.

It's a Toyota. They are not known for being engaging to drive, but the Avalon is a big step in a better direction.

I was actually attracted first on looks. I think the outside is really sexy, but I LOVE the interior, especially the way they did the floating console and dash instrumentation

You are one of the few among the flying bridge lovers. For me, it's just there, in the way.....

It's put there to discourage contact between lovers, spouses, partners, etc ....

it's more for appealing to avid gamer types .... "Yeahh! I made it to the next level !!! One more mile per gallon !!!!"

Cycledrum, I also like the looks of the Accord Hybrid and am seriously considering a hybrid midsize sedan next time around. However, I don't like the Accord's lack of trunk space and spare tire for road trips. I love the looks of the Avalon hybrid, but not its price to get cooled leather - especially for a 20K miles/yr daily driver. I'm excited to see the next generation Prius and Hycam. Until then, I'll probably stick with my unsexy Prius.

Still one of the most frugal cars to drive that seats 4 or 5 people and still has good cargo capacity. With the rear seat down, it's practically a station wagon... in a nice aero shape. I do wish that it was less plasticky inside, but I still really enjoy driving our Prius. A good long distance car, that at normal Interstate speeds still gets over 50 mpg. The console is the best part of the interior. If you need to make out, you should always stop (it's safer than driving distracted), put the back seat down and go to town! That console/flying bridge saves lives!!!

Definitely Sexy enough for me, especially when I drive up to the gas station!

I actually find the look of my Prius C a little on the sexy side - love how when you look at it from the rear you have imagined fender flares with the way they shaped the rear fenders. Doesn't have the blah squarish look of the Fit.

I had a chance to test drive 3 Accords: Sport (4 cyl.), EX (4 cyl. cloth), and Hybrid Touring. While I really liked the way the hybrid drove - power, handling, passenger room, and seat comfort, the trunk was quite small. The Accord that interested me the most was the $25K Sport with the tighter handling and some folks reporting highway mileage in the mid- to upper-30s.

Hmm, I wonder whether a more comfortable and better handling Accord Sport would be worth having a $200-220 car payment again and about $40 more per month in fuel cost.
