My car's strange in that I have two different keys for the doors/trunk and the ignition. Both keys are black. The original owner had to replace the ignition for some reason, so the ignition has a key that's different from the rest of the car. I bought a key blank from ebay, cut it at Lowe's, and programmed it with the ignition key I have. The ebay key starts the car and all's good there (although it only works when inserted one way and not the other). Here's the problem: I had Lowe's cut a regular blank from my doors/trunk key so I could have a backup. The new Lowe's key will open the driver and passenger door (with the same one-way problem), but will not open the trunk. What's wrong? Is my new Lowe's key somehow acting like a valet key? How can I get a key that opens my doors AND trunk?
