I have a 2016 prius c and a technician in my area says he does not balance batteries that have less than 60% life expectancy because there were instances where the battery faulted after the process. But other technicians say it is fine. Now i have 58% LE on my car and I bought a Maxx Volts balance charger and would really like to start balancing my battery but I am very unsure now. Do you think it is a case where I should just balance once instead of thrice as said in the manual? or is it a matter or dropping not less than a particular voltage when discharging and I should be fine ? Please help!
