the prius in question is a 2006. i'm pretty sure it's a package 4 or lower, due to the lack of leather and what i think are the halogen headlights.

any other interior clues to look for?

    dutchtouch,

Well, you sure don't have the leather (pictures 3 & 4) or the nav system (no more than 4 pushbuttons around the MFD screen in pictures 1 & 5), so you're right that it is a pkg 4 or lower. And you definitely do have the halogen headlights since I don't see any fog lights in the 2nd picture.

Also, in the 1st picture I see the fob in the dash slot & in the 2nd picture no little black square button on the driver's door handle, so I'm guessing you don't have the SS/SE (also known as SKS).

What is missing from the interior pictures 3 & 4 is views of the side of the front seat to see whether or not there is a tag on the seat side about side air bags. So with this info & going by the link below :

    http://priuschat.com/forums/knowled...andard-optional-equipment-most-countries.html

I'm guessing your car is a GY (Pkg 1) if it has the side airbags in the front seats or a base unit (Pkg 0) if it doesn't. I hope this helps you some.

    dutchtouch,

I agree with Ken's analysis. If the car has the front seat side airbag tag, then it's Option Package 1. If it doesn't, then it's the Base/Standard Prius for 2006 with no Option Package.

For your reference, here's a link to the 2006 Prius eBrochure which lists and describes all the standard equipment and Option Packages:

    http://www.toyotacertified.com/ebrochures/06_prius.pdf

Also, if you want, I have a high quality scan PDF of the 2006 Prius print brochure. Send me an email at [email protected] and I'll email it to you.

    Good luck.

    dutchtouch,

Good luck on your search. If it's any help, here are the links to the Toyota Certified Used Vehicles page, and to each model year's eBrochure:

the low res screen is a dead giveaway that it is either a base or package 1

Another clue is that it does not have the JBL logo on the audio system - it has the base single CD system.

There are no black smart key buttons on the doors so it's a base model or a package 1

once you see a prius of 2006?? or later??? and it has the low res screen you do not have to start looking for anything else. heh
now if it had fog lights and a low res screen, it would be either a touring.... or a bad repair job or a mod
