I've had my Barcelona Red Baby for 2 weeks and I'm spreading the joy to all my friends. Everyone is impressed, and how could they not be??? I've been learning so much from this site and just had to say hello from Kansas City! I've been able to find answers so far to all my questions and it's so fun reading about all of you. Here is a picture. Hope it uploads okay. It's a 2008 Touring Package #6.
Great Picture - looks just like my 2008 Barcelona Red pkg#5 (except my wheels are different - and the sun rarely shines in Indiana in the winter, so I'm waiting to see what it looks like in the sunshine.
It's a boy and my husband is jealous. He now drives my Rav. We'd like our next car to be a hybrid SUV, because we need to carry our bikes with us when we travel and I don't want to mess with the streamlined workings of the PRIUS.
Nice bright red Prius you got there. The Rav does not even come close in mpg to the Prius. Sounds like a Highlander can be a great SUV for the family.
I knew I wanted my car in the Spring so I went to Olathe Toyota in Olathe Kansas at the beginning of December and ordered a Black Touring Pac 6 with bisque leather. I was told it would be a minimum of 3 months. I didn't care cause that's the one I wanted and I wanted it to be ready by Spring. Well 3 months later and they said they were having trouble getting that particular configuration. I had already changed my mind to wanting the red. They found a Touring Red later that day in Iowa. It had everything I wanted so they went and picked it up and I had in a few days. I didn't care about the price so I guess you could say I didn't get a fantastic deal. I basically got everything but the satellite radio and it ran around 28,473.00. If I hadn't went early and ordered my car ahead of time, I would have been frustrated with the lack of Tourings. But as it all turned out, I am more than satisfied with the end result.
