Leno has more fast / Quick cars than imaginable - so he's alredy experienced pretty much every kind of takeoff launch there is. It takes a lot to impress - after being around the high powered world of exotic super cars. Even so, from the look on his face ... yea, he does seem to be impressed. just my guess video here; .
NO NO NO !! Don't say that! sure as anything, you just know, the likes of LeeJay will be compelled to jump in now, & remind you that outliers still need more. Yea - you've really gone & done it now. We'll have to hear it again, under $35k, & charge in <10 minutes etc etc, Alec doesn't work for 'meeee'. Too late ... we'll have to go ad nauseam again & again & again. Maybe I can give the warning. These specs are not for everybody! (why do I feel that still wasn't a large enough of a caveat) BTW, last time I drove through Flathead Valley from So Cal - & back in the gasser, fuel cost round trip was ~ $1,200 for the nearly $2.950miles Horrible! Horrible! Having to make over 6 hours worth of (charge) stops, where we peed, anyway & ate, anyway & slept. 6 hours! Horrible! never mind 6 รท into $1,200 of fuel is $200/hr ... & few make that kind of coin. Nevermind that $1,200 is after tax dollars so I would have actually had to make another $300 pretax just to have the $1,500 pretax spent on gas. It's still not worth it to the outliers - so don't buy an ev unless you're stupid! .
Believe me, if I could afford a $250,000 toy like that, infrastructure, down time and fuel savings would be the last thing on my mind.
I've got good news for you! The limited Founders Edition, first 1000 models is $250K. You can pick up a regular edition for only $200K! But that is a good deal compared to other exotic cars that have lower specs for >$500K. I never owned an exotic car, but this one is tempting!
I'm almost feeling sorry for @Lee Jay , I know what it is like to be picked on, piled on, and dumped on! This is not the way to convince our hybrid ICE addicted brethren to join the BEV revolution!
