Hey All. I just purchased a 2005 Package 4 for $14,400.00. It only had 12,600 MILES! The previous owner did not drive much. It looks and drives like a brand new car. The forum here is pretty vast and I am trying to soak in as much information as I can. Is there a site or a link someone could lead me to to give me a step by step walk through of the major things I need to be aware of. After a month, I am averaging 51.5 MPG. Is there a way to check and see what the overall average has been since it was originally bought? :high5: I have an Ipod and am thinking about buying something with an aux-in. Can I install it myself or should I let a Toyota dealer do it? A clicking noise happens every so often on the drivers side. It's annoying but I think it is part of the Prius car noise. Am I correct? Thanks! Pete
Very nice deal on your Prius. I think if you check out John's web site it give you an idea of the major things to be aware of. John's Stuff - Toyota Prius and more As for Ipod adapters you might want to take a look at the Technical forum. You can do the adapter yourself, but it requires some patience and willingness to tear into your dash. The clicking sound I am unfamiliar with. Sorry I can't help you with that. Best of Luck!
Congratulations on a great deal and :welcome: Unfortunately, there is no way to tell overall average miles. If I am not mistaken, on the '05, the mpg reading resets at each fill up. From '06 on, you can allow a running average, but once it is reset the historic information is gone. Can't help with the iPod or clicking noise, but I'm sure the experts here will jump in to help.
You are correct. The '04-05 models reset average mileage after each fill up. I'm not sure about the clicking noise though. Mind doesn't do that.
