I just bought a used 2008 Prius Touring. I took it to a dealership to have the driver side mirror replaced and they performed a Health Check Summary. The summary says the following: Chassis Systems: Diagnostic Codes C1300, C2318, C1242 Electrical Systems: Diagnostic Codes B1200, B1207, B1248, B1271. What do these mean and do I need to have these fixed? Thanks, Grayson
From this website, it appears that these are the errors: http://techno-fandom.org/~hobbit/cars/TIS/04prius-rm.html R.M. 2004 Diagnostics: Electronically Controlled Brake System: C1300/ Malfunction In ECU (Prius) R.M. 2004 Diagnostics: Shift Control System (Parking Lock Control): C2318 Low Voltage Error (Prius) R.M. 2004 Diagnostics: Electronically Controlled Brake System: C1241/41, C1242/42 Ig2 Power Source Circuit (Prius) R.M. 2004 Diagnostics: Multiplex Communication System: B1200 Body ECU Communication Stop (Prius) R.M. 2004 Diagnostics: Multiplex Communication System: B1207 Smart ECU Communication Stop (Prius) R.M. 2004 Diagnostics: Multiplex Communication System: B1248 AVC-LAN Communication Impossible (Prius) R.M. 2004 Diagnostics: Multiplex Communication System: B1271 Combination Meter ECU Communication Stop (Prius)
No need to panic, first 3 DTC's are do a low 12v battery voltage at some point. The later ones come in every Prius I've ever seen, likely occur at assembly. No worries.
