Certainly. I would say, I started to research and learn about Prius and Hybrids 4 years ago. I actually ended up NOT buying a Prius at that time, but it was continued involvement in Prius Chat that kept me interested and focused on Prius. It was a big factor in my eventually, this year, getting my Prius. This site is a fantastic resource. For Prius knowledge, Toyota knowledge, an eye on automotive happenings across the industry, and a diverse and surprising discussion often on unexpected topics. Almost every popular automobile has some type of fan site today. I've been to many of them. Prius Chat, even when I did NOT own a Prius, was one of the most dynamic, interesting and active sites. I would warn you, despite the often demonstrated brilliance of participants, I myself can be a total idiot.
This site played a large part in my decision to buy a Prius... we were going to get another Camry but finding this site just days before, we got the Prius. Now well into its fifth Alaskan winter w/o any real problems, it was a great decision. Cheers
