I was all set thinking I knew what path I wanted to follow till I saw this is available! http://www.csupomona.edu/~crs/graduate.html I changed my degree from Conservation Fisheries and Wildlife to Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity but this looks even better.
Dude, that does look like a good field. And I'm sure it will become more and more relevant and necessary in the future.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(TonyPSchaefer @ Jan 21 2007, 08:27 PM) </div> It is definately more viable for job opportunities but my current path is nearly as applicable because of all the changes we are making to our natural systems. Global Warming is going to create a huge need for both fields.
it's hard to find something that matches your interests exactly... if this is it then go for it! and good luck

I like the emphasis they place on "conduct research and manage projects that have practical outcomes". Definitely consider the change - you don't want to look back later and wish you had gone for it.
Thank you guys. I'm looking into the option and weighing which classes I would have to switch over to.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(F8L @ Jan 23 2007, 11:35 PM) </div> Another option might be a minor or a double major. More work, but makes you that much more versatile in the job market.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(TimBikes @ Jan 24 2007, 12:00 PM) </div> I actually thought about that as well. They offer a minor in Regenerative Studies and I think that it would be a perfect compliment to my current degree path. Thank you for the tip.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(F8L @ Jan 24 2007, 06:36 PM) </div> What's regenerative studies? Sounds sorta Frankensteinish!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(TimBikes @ Jan 24 2007, 06:48 PM) </div> LOL Here is a copy paste of the program
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(F8L @ Jan 24 2007, 06:51 PM) </div> Ah - now I get it. Cool. I think this will be a growth industry and as such should position you well for the job market. Good luck!
