keeping OEM battery cool/fan

    to the right rear there is a ventilation section next to the seat. is that the intake for the OEM battery/cooling?
    if you want to have extra cooling, can you attach some fan or air by it to give extra cooling?
    vegas = 110 degree heat! i see my MPG going down to around 45 mpg.. winter was closer to 50 mpg
