Keyless entry finnicky + maintenance notice

    New used Prius owner here~

    For the past couple of days my Prius has been showing the "maintenance required soon" notification. That's just an internal 5000 mile timer running out right? Because I got an oil change about ~800 miles ago.

    But just today I noticed that keyless entry wasn't working like usual. I had to touch the lock/unlock part of the door multiple times and it would only work sometimes.

    Two questions:
    1. These issues are unrelated right?
    2. Could it be an issue with my key's/car's battery?

    The maintenance reminder is based on a 5 k mile cycle and can be reset.

    You can check the voltages of all batteries involved and if they are low, swap them out;).
