I always have mixed feelings when I witness interactions like these. On one hand, as an act of conservation of the species, it's needed and necessary. On the other hand? Regardless of base nature of these hand raised Cheetah's, they were meant to be hunters, in the wild. Their nature may NOT be to fight but to run, but their primary evolution is to be a predator, which means hunt. They are big, strong animals. I have to think if an animal can cause damage to you by simply licking you? That's a signal that perhaps their is something wrong with the entire dynamics. We've easily reached the point where unfortunately survival and flourishing in the wild has become less and less viable, which leads us to hand raised Cheetahs, and compounds and facilities. Leads us to Human/Animal connections that trend towards domesticated like interactions. It a unavoidable and even perhaps necessary reality. But I can't help but feel torn about it. And I sometimes think video's like this do some damage. As people with no skills or direct familiarity with these animals are lead to believe that these animals are closer to their house cat or dog, than they are the wild hunting animals they actually are meant to be. For that matter, I've had pet domesticated cats, that absolutely loved me, that have, with no malice intended, accidentally hurt me. There's always a danger involved with that level of closeness and intimacy with animals as large and powerful as Large Cats.
