I have just taken delivery of a new UK-spec Prius Plug-In and much to my surprise there are no Parking Guide Lines in the Rear-View Monitor! If the smaller UK Yaris is so equipped why not the PiP?

Does the US PiP have Grid-Lines?

    Is it there necessary?
I thought hat the driver is taking full control of the vehicle.......

    EDIT:
No, the US version doesn't have alignment grids

Yes - The driver is in full control (unlike with the Park-Assist option which does take over) But I've found even under manual control the grid-lines do help with the judgement of distances and especially with the positioning between the white lines used to delineate parking bays.

i practiced on a mattress and found that the camera is spot on so when it looks like you're going to touch the object behind you, you are.
