Do you think I can claim removal of a large, dead bumble bee as a defect in workmanship or material under the warranty? The dead bee is in the shade against the left side of the tunnel leading to the large speedo digits, but inside the glass. Has anyone else had live creatures find their way into that space? Can access be found easily to remove them?
If you can't reach you could try using a can of compressed air that you usually would use to clean out your computer keyboard out with and see if you can't spray it out of there (or at least out of the way).
First of all, are you sure it's inside the glass? That "glass" you see is actually a mirror. The speedo display is reflected from it... it originates from the indented rectangle that is flat in front of it. You might try a dustcloth in front of the display, in other words.
Thanks, Rae Vynn. You were exactly right. The bee just appeared to be behind glass because it was reflecting through the mirror.
