Two weeks into owning the 2012 P2 something flew off the fwy and shattered the passenger side quarter glass. Unfortunately I discovered that the replacement with the built in defroster is $362 as opposed to $60 for one without the element..... While the decision should be a no-brainer, I have a couple of concerns and would like input from my fellows: The glass in my car seems to have a factory tint and I am concerned that if I go the cheaper rout that the tint may not match. Will the less expensive alternative affect the value of the car when it comes time to sell/ trade-in? Thanks in advance for your responses.
Can't answer your direct questions. But will say that your insurance may cover the replacement at little or no cost - just like windshields.
