I have a used 2010 Prius. What's the version number of the latest Navigation System disk? Also, how do I install the new one when I get it?
The latest version is the 11.1. Toyota brings out an updated disc each year around October. Thus the 11.1 for 2011. You eject your current Nav DVD and insert the new disc. On insert the system will auto load with a message not to stop the loading process. I think the only thing that I had to do was go in and reselect my region of the country. All of my previous destinations and setup info was still there.
Thanks, JDC! This may be a dumb question, but do I simply eject the Nav disk from the DVD player? Sounds like the DVD player holds two DVDs!
You simply eject the map DVD by going to Info-Phone -> Map Data -> DVD. The Nav screen will move out and down to expose both the CD and DVD players. The DVD is the lower one. The map DVD will be ejected. You insert the new map DVD and press the Close button at the top left of the Nav. The Nav screen will move up and in to close. A message will appear on the screen about the new update loading and not to stop the loading process. There is only one Nav map DVD. The CD player can hold multiple CD's.
