I haven't been following the thread closely, but a Leafer is planning a (crazy, IMHO) trip in his Leaf from BC to BC. I think he's going to run into charging issues, down charging stations (he's hit it a bunch of times before w/public Blink chargers and the one he has at home) and end up being behind schedule. Things should get better once he enters Oregon since there are a bunch of (CHAdeMO) DC quick chargers (aka "L3") there. Anyhow, I wish him luck and a safe journey...
His Twitter feed and web site aren't receiving much in the way of updates. What's pretty cool is that you can track him at SPOT Shared Page.

He made it to Oregon about 2.5 hours ago. Thanks to the CHAdeMO DC quick chargers (no level 2 J1772 is NOT "quick" charging), he can do WAY more miles/day.

Months ago, Tony came up (as he occasionally does ... prior to, and subsequent to this event) one of the O.C. events. Oh! In fact, I almost forgot ... he stopped by our place to charge. So we went to the event in OUR Leaf. But ... I digress. Day one of the BC to BC event, I took off work early to meet up with Tony at the Laguna Beach Charge/Parking lot ... to hopefully save a charge stall & to give a hearty "well-wish". My significant memory of meeting up that morning was his (approximately) 11yr old daughter, who did the trip with Tony. She thought all the decals & stickers on the Leaf were way too crazy/over-the-top. Glad he made it!
