I've replaced/installed on my PriusV (Canadian edition) H11 with LED lights 6000LM/light (12000LM/set) and it is usable. Both lights take 50W so better than stock 50W/each. I've tried to replaced the 9005 bulb (daytime running lights) with LED 4000LM/lights (8000LM/set) but the lights housing are not a projector type and the LED's light is scattered so it is blinding oncoming traffic. The lights are too bright.
I am using these on our Prius for DRLs 2X 3000K/Amber 9005 HB3 80W CREE LED Fog Light Bulbs | eBay They do flicker though, due to the reduced current via pwm (pulse width modulation) where the current is sent in pulses rather than a continuous stream of electrons. So I am also using capacitors to eliminate the flickering. If you order these capacitors, keep in mind that the Prius has the polarity at the connectors reversed, so you will need to test your wires and connect them accordingly. I ended up swapping some connectors around in the shell that connects to the bulbs. I am using amber LEDs because they are very visible during daylight, unlike a 6000K light. Think of the GM cars like some Corvettes, or the Dodge Dart that use amber DRLs. XENON HID CANBUS DECODER WARNING CANCELLER CAPACITOR - Lifetime Warranty | eBay
Putting colored plastic tubes over the LEDs might retain heat and cause issues, like melting plastic tubes?
