And the so called plug and play LED replacement bulbs that replace standard halogen bulbs are not acceptable yet. It's been discussed many times. They are bright, but the LED mounted on a circuit board, can't replicate the point light source, with 360 degree light dispersion, that is created by a hot tungsten filament or an electric arc discharge in the halogen and HID bulbs. The result is poor beam focus and dispersion through the stock reflector and lens of the projector light. People have used them in foglights though, since foglights are not the critical primary light source that lowbeams are.
