i have been wanting to replace my headlamp bulbs with led ones in my 2012 prius C, can anyone recommend a replacement kit that has worked well for them... also anyone know if the new 2015 prius c led lights will work in the older model?
I remember reading that the new style lights will not fit on the 1st generation C. Also, if it did fit, i think it would be costly "upgrade". There are no other alternative LED headlights for the C in America. But if you live in a place where it is RHD cars, then you can source the Japanese LED headlights for the C, but that will be costly too. I, along with many other C drivers are happy with the HID upgrade on stock headlights.
true i have seen the new C in person and the headlights will not fit due to the design change in them and the bumper change. i was wondering about the bulb difference cause i read that the new C will have led bulbs in it so i was wondering if those would work in the older C...
LEDs do not come in "bulbs" like the normal halogen bulbs. LEDs require a special lens, heatsink and circuit inorder to work correctly. Cars that have LED headlights, like the corolla for example, do not have a replaceable bulb for the headlights.
