I've seen both sides to this argument, yes put them in, no don't do it (for various reasons)

Let me throw my two cents into this debate.

I bought my car back in May 2015 and it had 4 miles on it, it was brand spanking new and it is a beauty! I put custom wheels on my car, tinted the windows with limo quality tint and put a $17,000 JL Audio sound system in my car including a twin 10" sub in the luggage compartment.

Earlier this month, my drivers side high beam light went out, two days later the low beam, so I started researching what to do about it. I decided to go with LED headlights. So I ordered the following, and I highly recommend Farren termitor LED lights, you can find them on Amazon! Your low beams are H11 and your high beams are 9005 / HB3. TRUST ME these are a game changer!!

The install (if you do it yourself) takes about 20-30 minutes and let me tell you, it's a world of difference!! These lights have the flicker error driver built into the base of the unit and there's a 15000rpm fan to keep the LED circuits cool so they last longer. You can't even hear them in the cabin. The light color is 6500k and because of the way the paint on the roads is made, LED lights cause the paint to almost glow and they're infinitely easier to see, even if the paint is faded.

The reflectors on the railings are easier to see, and in the rain, it cuts through the rain and fog as if it's not even there...it's easier to see deer, moose, even rabbits that hop across the road!

These lights are incredible, and anyone who tells you to not put LED headlights in your car needs to go chew on rocks, pound sand, or jump off the edge of the world!!

I highly recommend you swap out those dated halogen bulbs for the lights I linked up above....and for an added bonus, there's a pair of gloves in the box that are safe for handling the bulbs you remove from the headlight assemblies, because if you touch them with your bare hands, you could cause the glass to crack or burn your skin or other nasty things....

Trust me, change your lights to LED and you'll be able to drive safer at night because you'll finally be able to see!!!

Does look that way, doesn't it?

I think a good number of members here are already enjoying LED retrofit bulbs, even despite knowing that technically none are street legal in the US. There may be even more members who are waiting sort of eagerly for NHTSA to finish the rulemaking about what will qualify as a street-legal LED retrofit bulb, so they can buy those.
