My car is 2017 Prius Prime. I take good care of it but today I noticed my left blinker stopped working. The right blinker works fine though. Thankfully I have 8 year warranty. But a blinker going bad? That has never happened.
If it is the whole lens assembly I hate to see the price. Headlights are bring at least a thousand, each.
When saying the left blinker, are you referring to the dash indicator and both front and rear outside blinker lights? Double checking those 3 lights would be the first step in helping to narrow the scope of the problem. Checking the right blinker lights will help you to know which outside lights are used for the turn signals. Luckily, the blinker assemblies are not part of the headlight assemblies, but the rear blinker is part of the rear tail light assembly at around $350 each side, and in these days of LEDs and multi function systems, even the blinker assemblies are not cheap. Keep fingers crossed that your cars blinker issue is something simple t= fix.
They say it’s a short. But they won’t touch my vehicle because I have after market tech spliced into the system. They told me to get all the wiring restored to factory before they will even touch it. So I am getting all my side cameras, rear cross traffic alert system removed. Very annoyed. One Toyota dealership even threatened that my 8 year warranty would be voided if I installed any aftermarket tech on my car.
Modders usually don't talk to much about if the mods they've installed voids or doesn't void warranty. It's kind of an unspoken "we've already been there" kind of thing. Annoying is an understatement, until you look at it from the mechanics point of view, especially if the mod is the reason for the issue.
