My rear seats were pretty wet this morning water in the door handles... It's in the garage drying out as we speak. Everything should be ok??
I did the same after about a month of ownership. I left my rear drivers side window down a little bit. After wiping everything down and soaking up the water best I could, everything seems fine eight months later. No problems. Good luck.
I would run an extension cord out to the car and run a dehumidifier in there if you have one. Dry it out fast. One day should be plenty. Having the window cracked for the extension cord will also let the heat from the dehumidifier escape.
I left my windows cracked and it started raining. We had probably 20 minutes of exposure. I just got back into the car and sure enough the interior is moderately wet. I guess I'll hit it with a hair dryer when I get home? I haven't tried to start the car yet, I'm waiting on my wife and daughter to finish picking strawberries...
Absolutely - if the carpeting stays damp too long you can get mold and an unpleasant smell that's really hard to get rid of.
Good call, I got all the mats out and in the sun, and I'm running a cool hair dryer on the seats now. Thanks again.
