All, I had issues with jacks where low profile jacks didn’t have enough lift to get Jack stands in place. I eventually went with a bottle jack, and the key was using rubber flooring mats we had available. Stack up 4-5 mats, drive onto it, then use some wood to give extra lift to the bottle jack. This provided enough lift to install jack stands.
Bottle jacks are not as stable as floor jacks, a tall/narrow pedestal. Also, to raise at either the front or rear proscribed jacking point the car with a bottle jack, particularly the rear, you're in a situation where you're partially under the car while jacking it up, which is not smart. Anyway, some stuff I use: (The two wood pieces are keyed together) (heavy, rubber wheel chocks, always good to have on the end not being raised, fore and aft of each wheel, tapped in like wedges)
