Don't do it... Road side assistance when you've got a spare, entails putting the spare on. Without the spare, it entails a royal pain, staring with a tow, to somewhere, and a lot of waiting, expense.
Would luv to gain the storage space. I’m carrying a plug-kit and air pump and have four new tires. I’m wondering if the gen3 will hold a full-size tire unmounted where I could stash camping gear inside the tire hollow?
I don’t think so. I recall dropping one of our snow tires in the well: it was chafing the sidewalls and riding an inch or two high. Close though. Hatch floor panel was pushed up a bit.
