Sometime I can see some small ants like insects inside of my car. I there are some sweets stuff in the car they are attract to them(lots of them). I think they hide inside invisible parts of the car. Should I be worried or its ok them to let them live inside?. What harm can they do to my vehicle. ? Thanks
Apparently you don't seem too concerned about having living things besides humans or pets inside your vehicle. Let us know how that works out for you...
i would eliminate the sweet stuff, the car will be fine, bu i would be more concerned about ants in my pants.
If they are ants, go to Ace Hardware or a like place and buy some liquid TERRO ANT KILLER. It just takes a drop in the vicinity where you see them. They feast on it and carry it back to their nest where the entire colony will be wiped out. Very effective ant killer.
Your Prius has "Invisible Parts"? Cool. Family legend says that in 1954 my mother as a little girl was taken to see the now classic B horror movie "Them" featuring giant mutated Ants. Her review after seeing it was "If a Big Ant can hurt you a lot, a Little ant can hurt you a little". Heed my mothers wisdom.
Maybe the ants are Toyota's answer to the lower power of the c. Get enough of them running around in the drum may add a hp or 2...
I agree with The Electric Me's mother. Relating what I've experienced regarding ants. Ants can get into electrical systems and create problems. At a school I worked at before retiring I've seen: Ants destroyed AC control boards on several split air units. Ants also destroyed the internal electronics on boxes controlling the internet connections in several buildings. Ants got into some computer monitors - hundreds of dead ants fell out of the monitors. At home: Solar yard and Christmas lights: Had ants nest in and destroy the electronics. The ants seem to be attracted to some types of electrical equipment - maybe the warmth or, as one techie suggested, certain frequencies. They nest, lay eggs and the mass of ants and larvae eventually affects the electronics. Of course things can also happen with other creatures A computer in the school office shorted out. When the computer tech opened it up he found a electrocuted gecko. Don't get me started about the rat which got into in my squirrel cage AC fan in my old Chevy Prizm - knocked out my AC and the car smelled for months. Horrible clunking noise - AC dies...a few days later the smell started... Repair guy saved the fan when he fixed the AC - dried up ex-rat stuck to the blades. YMMV
