I've been sent by my employers out to the beautiful Pacific Northwest for 3 full months for a big project! I've been out here for about two weeks now, but before I left, I made sure my Prius was being watched by someone I trust. The rental car that Hertz has given me is a Chevy Cobalt... I suppose it's not a terrible car, but the fuel economy really stinks compared to what I'm used to! I drive mostly in the city, commuting back maybe 4 miles to and from work and the hotel room... mileage so far is 23 MPG and dropping... less than HALF of what I can do in my Prius. I miss my Prius.
Does it have an MPG display? Bet that if you took the right care, you could "hypermile" it close to 30 mpg, but you might need to take it on some longer runs to really see that. . Can you swap it for a rental prius?? . _H*
