I just bought a '05 Prius with only 6248 miles on it and I want to upgrade the GPS DVD. My street and several new developments in my area are not on my current DVD. It now has rev 4.2 gen 4 in it. I had seen a ver. 7.1 on ebay but it was closed before I could bid on it. Does anyone know where I can buy one other than at Toyota with their outrageous price of $300.. Thanks Dave.. ][email protected]
I am only guessing, but I believe the Lexus has the same nav system, and Lexus owners get free upgrades. Research more, find a friend with a Lexus and go from there.

Be sure you get one for an 04/05 Prius. In 06 they upgraded the nav screen and it uses a different software version. There should be a 7.1 disk available specifically for the 04/05 cars.

I have a 2004 Prius. Would I be able to upgrade the GPS software? The map looks so much better on a 2005. Thanks for your help in advance.
