Hello Prius Chat members: I have lost the Key number plate of my keys. As the manual says, I kept it in a different place from the keychain of the car. As "safe and special", that I am unable to remember (good for me!). I have tried to looking for it during several hours. My question: Is it a big deal? It is really necessary to make a new set of keys in case I loss them. Thank you in advance.
No, all you need to do is go to your nearest Toyota parts dept with your ID and vehicle registration. In fact, many of us have never received them as some regions have stopped giving out the key number plates for a few years now (because people lose them as in your case).
Yeah shouldn't be a problem. I kept mine somewhere different as well just incase i lose my FOB. Figers crossed.
