Like a lot or people I get a car wash membership during the winter to keep the salt off my Prius. Each time I go through the car wash, I hear a loud pop while the dryers are going. I’m assuming the forced air is pushing down an exterior panel than then pops back into place. I’m in the car, in neutral, never experienced this in any other car. I tried several different car washes to find one that doesn’t have insanely powerful dryers, and it happens no matter where I go. Is this common?
Haven't noticed it in my Gen 3 with the washes around here, but it sounds plausible enough, and I doubt it will hurt anything. You could make it stop happening by rolling some creases into the panel, but aesthetically that's probably not where you want to go.
